I’ve been studying a chart from a friend of mine which attributed vibrational frequency (VF) numbers to states of being. The higher a person’s VF number, the higher their state of being. The timing was perfect. I’d just had a dream where Yeshua asked me, “What good thing are you thinking about?”
He wasn’t asking because He didn’t know. He was highlighting a pattern I’d fallen into. At the time, I’d been paying too much attention to negative things going on in the world: namely the many ways we’re being incrementally, secretly and overtly poisoned to death. Such thoughts can be depressing and lead to even more negative thinking. What can occur is continuous loop thinking, or a stuck cycle. Being stuck looks like lingering in bed long after you’re awake and/or escape behaviors.
First, I paid more attention to what I was listening to, thinking about, or reading, (especially before bedtime). I was reminded of 4:8 from Pilippiyim, “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.”
Mornings can be a vulnerable time for many of us, usually setting the tone for the day. I was participating in “The Miracle Morning” routine. Waking up with a positive attitude actually begins the night before, with right thinking and what you’re saying aloud before you go to sleep. I wasn’t sure this was true, so I did an experiment. I wrote out a few short sentences to say just before I turned out the lights for bed. And they worked! I was bouncing out of bed at 5 a.m. and getting a jump on my day and feeling great.
Next, while engaging in visualization, I turned my face up to the ceiling and smiled. I did this for about 30 seconds every day for over a week. My body began aligning to that morning smile. I was creating a more positive attitude and expecting great things to happen. And even if they didn’t happen, and the day went totally south, I could rally quicker. Sometimes when I don’t know how to feel, I just smile.
Another vibration boost is decluttering. Recently packing up all my belongings let me re-evaluate them. Clothes I don’t look good in or feel good in, gone. Those just-in-case items I haven’t used in over a decade (or ever), buh-bye! At the risk of sounding ridiculous, I’ll share that getting rid of certain items is like weight lifted off. Although I inherited my paternal grandmother’s expensive maple dining room table with needle pointed chair seats, I didn’t love it. It only reminded me of our rocky, strained relationship. And when I finally gave it away, all the adverse memories of her went with it. Emotional baggage—poof! Talk about a positivity increase!
And finally, surrounding myself with beauty and items I value, colors I like, music that cheers me, oxygen- providing plants, all raise my joy vibe. Being around upbeat people who laugh, love and care about me make me feel good. When I feel happy, my relationships improve, my quality of life is raised. This type of curating is ongoing over a lifetime.
What this means for you
If you wake up in a good mood, and want to carry it through the day, you probably don’t listen to world news first thing in the morning, prefer quiet starts to the day and might even have a positive thought—like dwell in possibility–hung somewhere in your home. When you focus on good, you raise your energy level.
Focusing on beauty, benevolent thoughts or joyful people, elevates your vibrational frequency. As we go into the long nights of winter, I encourage you to consider how you might upgrade your environment, the content your consume, or your friendship circle. Take a second look at your morning routine.
Just as centering your thoughts on negatives cause a lower VF, focusing on positives raises it. If that isn’t enough motivation to pause and recalibrate, consider that your vibrational frequency is like a siren, attracting more of those same VFs to you in as little as seventeen seconds!
A book that provided just what I needed to get through last winter’s slump was the updated expanded edition of Miracle Morning by Hal Elrod. With the recent time change, I’m getting ahead of the curve by using those tactics again.
