Happy New Year!!

“You are to begin your calendar with this month; it will be the first month of the year for you.Exodus 12:2

Though it is hotly debated, the beginning of the year starts in spring, not winter. The Gregorian Calendar was introduced in 1582 by Pope Gregory XIII, supposedly to correct the lag in the Julian calendar system. The Catholic Church was an enormous force to contend with at the time. And even though they ordered Catholics to comply, not every one did. What happened next is right out of the Devil’s Playbook, which is to change the rules, destroy the former rules then mock, ridicule, punish or kill the non-compliant. The next step is to publish all things with only the new rules as the authority.

Let’s face it, no one wanted to directly confront the Catholic Church. Those who were reluctant to comply were labeled and mocked as April Fools, a “tradition” that has persisted unto this day.

At a time in our culture where truth has become as rare and valued as gold, it is important to do your own research and discover the roots the traditions that we never questioned before. If you want to be truly free, question everything, especially what you thought was safe, understood, what you took for granted.

I am an April Fool, and I wish you a Happy New Year!
