Writer’s Bonus! Spring Writing Challenge

I love a good 30-day challenge. But every so often, I don’t mind going a little longer, say, 5 weeks. I find that getting out of my routine can be a good things. It stretches my mind and lets me go “untethered.”

It feels spontaneous, like breaking the glass ceiling, or grabbing a breath of fresh air. If I normally write fiction, I will go non-fiction or vice-versa. Writing challenges can feel like going somewhere new for a long weekend, which usually leads to fresh ideas and insights. With all the colorful flowers popping out everywhere, it’s a great time to “break out” of limiting mind sets.

My friend Brad over at The Company has tossed out the newest quarterly writing challenge invitation. Challenges are free and fun and great for stretching your imagination and getting out of a writing rut. All writing levels from beginners to professionals are welcome. Here’s what he’s saying about it:

The Spring Writing Challenge is all about writing with a community. It’s about tackling the prompt in your own unique way, then supporting each other and encouraging one another to keep writing.

We’ll have a special forum open for you to post your story for your team to read! That way we can all read and comment on each other’s work.

Three teams will compete against one another for five weeks! But don’t worry, everybody has the opportunity to win prizes along the way. You’ll also have the opportunity to unlock some mystery tiered prizes! Once a week you’ll meet over Zoom for a Team Meeting! Here, you’ll chat with new friends, ask experienced professional authors your questions, and brainstorm for that weeks prompt!
